Manchester City & PSG target undecided on future, says agent

Although Bayern Munich have made it official that manager Pep Guardiola will not return to the club next season, the star coach may not have his landing spot completely decided just yet. Although Manchester City, PSG and a litany of other clubs are interested, Guardiola appears to be undecided on his future.

According to the Daily Mail, Guardiola could very well take a year off again after leaving Bayern Munich rather than immediately accept a job in the Premier League or in France. Guardiola’s agent Josep Maria Orobitg stated that the 19-time trophy winner has not made contact with any potential clubs yet.

‘I have never spoken with the president of PSG, either recently or in the past,’ Orobitg told a French newspaper.

‘I have been in contact with their sporting director, Olivier Letang, but that was to talk about one of my (represented) players.

‘We have never discussed the situation of Pep and PSG did not ask me any questions about his desires.

‘Perhaps Pep has had direct contact himself, but I doubt it, and he has not said anything about it to me. The Premier League is a great possibility. Pep will make his decision within two or three months.’

Man City, Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG have all expressed interest in bringing Guardiola into the fold.

The Citizens may have the edge considering their massive payroll, depth and previous connections in the front office from Guardiola’s successful tenure at Barcelona.

Under Guardiola, Bayern Munich won back-to-back Bundesliga titles. He has won five league titles between the German giants and Barcelona in his first six years as a manager.
