No club has won the FA Cup in three straight seasons since Blackburn Rovers achieved the feat in the 1880s. Arsenal, however, seem to have a solid chance of getting back to the final between the way they’ve been playing and the homefield advantage of Emirates Stadium.
In the FA Cup draw on Monday, Arsenal were one of only a handful of Premier League clubs to get a home game in the upcoming fourth round to be played at the end of January. The Gunners’ main rivals, Man City, Chelsea, Man United and Tottenham/Leicester City, all drew the visitors side.
The deck isn’t necessarily stacked in Arsenal’s favor, but with Championship Division side Burnley on the schedule, a trip to the fifth round appears to be in the cards.
