Agent of Chelsea FLOP backs international to star away from Stamford Bridge

The agent of Chelsea forward Christian Atsu has tipped his client to star in La Liga having completed a loan move to Malaga.

The Ghana wideman spent the first half of the season on loan at Bournemouth, where injury robbed him of the chance of making an impact, and returned to Chelsea prematurely before the January transfer window.

However, he’s quickly moved on again, signing on loan for Spanish side Malaga, with whom he will spend the rest of the season [according to the club’s official website].

Atsu’s Blues career has never truly got off the ground since moving to Stamford Bridge—to much acclaim—from FC Porto in 2013.

However, he’s yet to make his Premier League bow with Chelsea, and despite shining on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, he struggled to make an impact at Everton under Roberto Martinez last season.

Speaking to sources in Ghana, the player’s agent Abdul Hay Yartey has expressed his delight at the player’s move, and tipped the 24-year-old to finally come good in the Spanish top flight.

” I am very happy for Atsu, he has a mentality which is different from other players,” Yartey told local reporters. “This is not the first time he has been in such difficult situation and I believe he will rise to the occasion and come [sic] out bright again.

“I think is a good move for him; he has speed and flair and that is what La Liga is about [sic]. I am confident he will do very well.”
