Man United back in the race for Real Madrid and World Cup star

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has yet another top-flight suitor in the mix for him as Manchester United have returned for another go at the German star.

According to the Metro, Man United are going to make a run at landing the Real Madrid and Germany starter after being turned away two years ago under former manager Man United David Moyes.

Kroos won a dozen titles with Bayern Munich as well as the FIFA World Cup for Germany before shunning Man United and taking up the offer from Real Madrid in 2014.

Though Kroos looked solid for Germany during the March international break, his form with Real Madrid has left much to be desired. In 30 La Liga starts, he has one goal and nine assists, and just one assist in the Champions League.

He earned Man of the Match honours for his performance in Real Madrid’s 0-0 draw with Man City in the Champions League semi-finals this past Wednesday.
