Jordon Ibe Bournemouth: Liverpool accept £15m bid – “football is broken”, say Twitter transfer committee

Liverpool have reportedly accepted a £15m offer from Bournemouth for Jordon Ibe.

According to Sky Sports, the Reds have now given the 20-year-old winger, who moved to Anfield from Wycombe Wanderers in 2011, permission to speak to the Cherries over a potential transfer.

Ibe had been tipped for big things at Liverpool but fell down the pecking under Jurgen Klopp during the second half of last season, and the signing of Sadio Mane is only going to limit his chances further.

The youngster has scored only one goal in 41 Premier League appearances – in Liverpool’s final-day draw with West Bromwich Albion in May, and four goals and seven assists in 58 games in all competitions.

And yet the £15m sum being quoted would make Ibe one of the top eight Liverpool sales of all time, more expensive than the likes of Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen, according to LFChistory.net.

Hence why major questions are being asked about the transfer fee on Twitter…
