Robin van Persie was linked with a move to Leicester City after the Daily Star reported that he followed the official club Twitter page.

Middlesbrough meanwhile are also reported to be interested in signing the Fenerbahce striker according to the Sun.

The latest reports come days after the Daily Mail claiming that Van Persie had been offered to West Ham United and Crystal Palace.

Van Persie joined Fenerbahce on a three-year deal from Manchester United last season and scored 16 goals for the Super Lig runners-up.

The 32-year-old striker does have years of experience playing in the Premier League having enjoyed a long spell at Arsenal before controversially joining rivals Manchester United where he won the league titles.

Van Persie does have another two-years remaining on his contract and the Netherlands international  provided three assists and found the back of the net 22 times in 48 appearances in all competitions for the Istanbul giants last season.
