(Video) Mesut Ozil scores on return to Arsenal starting line-up as Gunners coast at Watford

Arsenal opened up a commanding 3-0 lead at Watford on Saturday as Arsene Wenger’s men look set for their first Premier League win of the season.

A penalty from Santi Cazorla had given the visitors the lead at Vicarage Road, before Alexis Sanchez added a second to pile the pressure on Walter Mazzarri and his men.

However, the Gunners weren’t done for the opening 45 minutes as they effectively killed off the game with Ozil nodding home this goal to put them in complete command.

It’s been a frustrating start to the Premier League campaign for Wenger, who has faced criticism both due to the lack of activity in the transfer market and results in the first two games.

However, it appears as though his side are about to address the latter with a win over the Hornets, presuming that they don’t capitulate in the second half and throw away their three-goal lead.

Ozil returned to action after coming off the bench against Leicester City last weekend, and he will be delighted to mark his first Premier League start of the year with a goal while Sanchez continued to play an instrumental role in Arsenal’s success in the first half.

After falling to defeat against Liverpool before being held by Leicester, a first win of the campaign looks likely and that will undoubtedly raise spirits at the Emirates.
