Mesut Ozil has stated that Arsenal were fortunate to defeat Southampton today in the Premier League today.
Arsenal recorded a 2-1 victory over the saints, with the winning goal coming in the final seconds of the game via a controversial penalty.
The 27-year-old took to social media after the games to share an image of himself along with the caption, “Tough fight & fortunate win. In the end it’s only the 3 points that count!”
Ozil is expected to start for Arsenal on Tuesday when the Gunners take on PSG in the UEFA Champions League.
