Man United have six injury worries ahead of Arsenal clash

Manchester United will likely be severely depleted when Arsenal come to Old Trafford on Saturday.

According to The Independent, Jose Mourinho could be without seven players this weekend, including as many as six through injury.

United will definitely be unable to call upon leading scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is suspended, while centre-backs Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling are unavailable with knee and toe injuries respectively.

Right-back Antonio Valencia has a fractured arm that will keep him out.

On the left side of defence, Luke Shaw is doubtful due to pain in the right leg he broke last season.

In midfield, Marouane Fellaini is facing a race against time to recover from a calf injury, which he picked up during United’s 3-1 win over Swansea City last time out.

Captain Wayne Rooney’s swollen knee means he will probably be on the sidelines against Arsenal.

Rooney played 90 minutes as England beat Scotland 3-0 last Friday, but he then missed Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Spain.
