Liverpool transfer news: Furious Reds ace disgusted with Klopp treatment and wants January exit

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has reportedly been left disgusted over the treatment he has received from boss Jurgen Klopp so far this season.

The French international has been frozen out of the first team after a series of disciplinary issues, including failing a drugs test last season before turning up late on a number of occasions over the summer during the club’s pre-season tour.

According to Le Parisien, that hasn’t prevented him from being left furious with his current situation at Anfield, as he has yet to feature for Klopp at all so far this year.

It’s added that the 26-year-old is now keen to leave Merseyside in the January transfer window, having failed to heed the warning he received this past summer by sealing a move away from the club prior to the transfer window deadline.

As he has continued to train and play with the club’s youth team, he has arguably maintained a good level of fitness which in turn will help his bid to find another club in January as any interested party will hope that he can hit the ground running and be an immediate presence for them.

Despite his troubles in recent times, there’s no denying the former Paris Saint-Germain star’s talent as he has showcased it for both club and country.

However, he’ll have to figure out these disciplinary issues in order to stop falling off track, despite the fact that he feels as though he’s been unfairly treated over the situation by Klopp.

With the likes of Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Ragnar Klavan ahead of him in the pecking order at Anfield, it’s unlikely that Liverpool will particularly miss Sakho were he to leave, and so it appears as though the best resolution for all concerned is for him to secure an exit in the New Year.
