(Video) Sergio Aguero red card: Man City star loses his head as Fernandinho antagonised before dismissal

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero saw red as he was rightly dismissed for a horror foul on Chelsea defender David Luiz.

City went ahead through a Gary Cahill own goal, but goals from Diego Costa, Willian and Eden Hazard swung the game round entirely.

With his side trailing 3-1 late on in a huge showdown between the two Premier League title contenders, the Argentine international lost his head and was shown a straight red card for this challenge.

The drama at the end of the game wasn’t done there though as Fernandinho was also sent off after he was seen grabbing Cesc Fabregas by the throat before pushing the Spaniard over the advertising hoardings.

However, earlier on in the incident, the officials seemed to miss Fabregas slapping his rival in the face, albeit a soft one, which ultimately sparked Fernandinho’s reaction.

Nevertheless, it was Pep Guardiola who was left to assess the damage done in the fixture, as he saw his side fall four points adrift of Chelsea and will now be without two key individuals for the forthcoming Premier League games ahead of Christmas.
