Arsenal and Chelsea linked with world class playmaker despite resurgent role in top team

The world of transfer rumours doesn’t always require huge amount of logic, just a hyperlink to a source and a vague thread of logic that connects.

It is in this world that Isco, Real Madrid playmaker, can be linked in the Sun with fresh moves to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City in the Sun, in the very same month that he re-established himself as a key player in Zinedine Zidane’s side.

The link made sense a couple of months ago, with the Spaniard out of favour and barely playing, but since injuries to Luka Modric and Casemiro gave him the opportunity for guaranteed minutes, Isco has shone in the middle for Zizou.

He was the key player in the win over Atletico in November which gave Los Merengues a lead over Barcelona in the table, and it’s hard to see him going anywhere now, especially with Toni Kroos’ lack of fitness meaning the former Malaga man should continue getting plenty of time on the grass.

Still, fans of his Premier League suitors can dream, and hope that something major changes before next summer.
