PL predictions: Lawro and Merse disagree on the weekend’s key fixtures with the former predicting a shock Chelsea defeat

The Premier League is back this weekend with a number of fixtures that could be season defining at both ends of the table.

All twenty sides are in action, with BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson and Sky Sports‘ Paul Merson making their predictions for the upcoming games.

Lawro’s predictions:

Lawro has predicted a shock upset at the King Power stadium, with the champions defeating the league leaders 2-1. In the biggest game of the weekend, he has predicted a stalemate at Old Trafford between Manchester United and Liverpool.

Merse’s predictions:

Merse has gone for victories for all the big sides this weekend bar Liverpool, who he believes will fall to a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford. What a blow that would be for their title hopes.
