Tottenham confirmed line-up vs Southampton: Double boost as pair fit to start, Janssen on bench

Tottenham will look to reduce the gap to top spot back to 10 points when they take on Southampton at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino was rocked last weekend with Harry Kane suffering an ankle injury which is expected to rule him out until late April.

In turn, the Spurs boss will need other players to step up in his absence and deliver goals as Tottenham look to solidify their spot in the top four in the Premier League and continue to keep Chelsea on their toes.

As for their opponents, the Saints can move up a spot in the standings with a win, but they know that Kane or no Kane, it will still be a difficult task for them in north London.

Without the England international, it’s Heung-Min Son who will have the responsibility of replacing his goals as expected, with summer signing Vincent Janssen back on the bench after scoring his first goal in open play for the club last time out.

Kyle Walker was a doubt along with Victor Wanyama ahead of the weekend, but both have recovered to take their place in a familiar line-up for Tottenham as they will be confident that they have enough to claim all three points without their talismanic striker.
