Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been linked with a return to AC Milan this summer, and he has revealed he will make a decision on his future next week.

Fresh from finishing the Bundesliga season as the top goalscorer with 31 goals in 32 appearances, the 27-year-old has been linked with an exit this summer.

Among those interested parties has been Milan, who allowed the youngster to leave in 2011, with Calciomercato noting that the Rossoneri even scouted their former starlet during the Champions League quarter-finals against Monaco last month.

It’s added in the report though that the problem is his wage demands as he wants €12m-a-year, and despite being taken over by Yonghong Li last month, Milan aren’t willing to spend recklessly and will work to a budget.

Speaking after the game on Saturday though, Aubameyang has revealed that a decision will be made on his future next week.

“I haven’t decided yet. We’ll see, I will meet with the club next week and we will make a final decision.”

Meanwhile, Milan have been linked with bringing in defensive reinforcements this summer too and Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij has been touted as a possible target.

The Dutchman’s current contract with the capital club expires next summer, and the wait goes on to determine whether or not he’ll pen an extension.

As per Calciomercato though, aside from Milan and Inter, Barcelona are also reportedly interested in him and will look to rival the Italian giants this summer.

With talk of deals being close for other targets and a seemingly clear strategy to get as much business done as possible before July, Milan are looking to make real changes to strengthen their squad this summer and time will tell who arrives to mark the start of the new era under Li.
