AC Milan transfer news: €28m signing undergoes medical, swoop for €60m target on Monday

AC Milan are wasting little time in signing key players this summer, with Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie undergoing his medical on Tuesday morning.

As noted by Calciomercato, the 20-year-old is well on course to complete a €28m plus bonuses move to the San Siro this week, while he will earn €1.8m-a-season.

However, all the talk has now stopped as the talented midfield ace has finally arrived in Milan to undergo his medical, as seen in the video below.

Coupled with Mateo Musacchio all-but sealing a move to join the Rossoneri too, having passed his medical and been pictured at Casa Milan earlier this month but just awaiting clearance to officially sign, Milan are set to make two important core signings to add to their team.

In turn, after all that excitement that came with Yonghong Li’s takeover and the work being done by CEO Marco Fassone and sporting director Massimo Mirabelli, it seems as though it’s bringing about an almost immediate impact.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport notes that Milan will swiftly move from one transfer target to another as they are planning to launch an assault to sign Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata next week.

The Spaniard is currently preparing with his teammates for the Champions League final against Juventus in Cardiff this weekend, and so the Rossoneri will be forced to bide their time.

However, the report claims that they’re putting together a €60m bid for the 24-year-old, while he will earn up to €8m-a-season.

If true, that will be Milan’s marquee signing of the summer as it addresses another key area of the squad that needed to be strengthened. With neither Carlos Bacca nor Gianluca Lapadula offering enough consistency, it looks as though Morata will be the man tasked with leading the Milan line next season if they can reach an agreement with Madrid.
