Clement Lenglet – €35M
Something that was adamant that Barcelona needed more of last season was defensive options, as player such as Yerry Mina and Lucas Digne were often exposed when selected by Valverde.
By signing Lenglet from fellow Spanish side Sevilla, Barca would almost instantly solve the problems they faced at the back last season, as the Frenchman would provide excellent cover for both Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti.
Mundo Deportivo are reporting that the player’s release clause currently sits at €35M, a price that the club would definitely be able to pay and one that should be seen as an absolute bargain considering how good the player actually is.
Goal are stating that the player is a target for the club, something that definitely makes sense when you consider how weak they were at the back for periods of last campaign.
Should Barcelona bring in both Pjanic and Lenglet, it’ll definitely give their squad the boost it needs to be even better than it was last season, something that could very well help the club in their pursuit to claim a fifth Champions League title next season and put a halt to Real Madrid’s dominance in Europe.
