Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing up a €110M move for Lazio and Serbia star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer, with the Italian side after €150M for the midfielder.
This is according to Don Balon, who are stating that Los Blancos are willing to fork out the aforementioned sum for the Serbian international, and that the club could face competition from Premier League sides in the race for the player.
The news outlet are also stating that Los Blancos president Florentino Perez believes that the Lazio star has the potential and ability to be in the running for the Ballon D’Or one day, so it seems as if he has high hopes for the midfielder.
Milinkovic-Savic has been one of the breakout stars of this season, with the player’s performances with both Lazio and Serbia attracting attention from fans around the globe.
The 23-year-old managed to bag a hugely impressive 12 goals and four assists in 35 league appearances this past campaign for Lazio, a quite frankly outstanding return for a midfielder.
The player’s performances also went a long way to helping Lazio secure a fifth place finish, with the club narrowly missing out on Champions League football on goal difference to Inter Milan.
Milinkovic-Savic, all things considered, would be a fantastic signing for Real, and his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu would definitely add another dimension to the club’s already world class midfield.
