Some Liverpool fans and indeed neutrals are heaping praise on Dejan Lovren after his Croatia side beat England to reach the World Cup final.
The 29-year-old has undergone some transformation after a bad start to the season at Liverpool, when he even found himself substituted off in the first half of a shocker at Tottenham.

A few months later and Lovren has been a rock solid performer for club and country, helping Liverpool to the Champions League final and now Croatia to their first ever appearance in a World Cup final.
Kieran Trippier had given England a 1-0 lead early on, but goals from Ivan Perisic and Mario Mandzukic saw Croatia come from behind and given Lovren another shot at winning a major final.
Some are amazed at the way he’s come back from such a low point of his career, and Twitter is now full of praise for the player after Croatia’s remarkable result this evening.
