Unai Emery requests two more Arsenal signings, including pacey attacker

Arsenal manager Unai Emery is reportedly keen for his club to seal potentially two more signings before the end of this summer’s transfer window.

The Gunners have been busy so far, bringing in Bernd Leno, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.

However, it may not end there as Emery is also interested in a pacey, direct winger to add to his options up front, and possibly a new left-back as he considers letting Nacho Monreal leave, according to Goal.

No specific names are mentioned in Goal’s report, but there’s no doubt Arsenal could do with an upgrade on players like Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi as options out wide.

The report does say, however, that Arsenal have already spent their transfer budget for the summer, meaning players would have to be sold before further additions could be made at the Emirates Stadium.

This could be the start of an exciting new era for Arsenal after Emery replaced the long-serving Arsene Wenger in the summer, but one feels a couple more signings could still be necessary to help the north London giants back into the top four.
