Chelsea ace ready to push for transfer even after next week’s deadline

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is reportedly ready to push for a loan away from the club even after next week’s transfer deadline.

The England international has not managed to establish himself as a first-team regular at Stamford Bridge, and spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace.

Loftus-Cheek shone at Selhurst Park and earned himself a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad at this summer’s World Cup.

Understandably, it seems he’s now continue to keep on ensuring he plays regularly and that could lead to a loan move to Europe if he doesn’t get opportunities at the start of this season, according to the Times.

The 22-year-old is seemingly prepared to give it a few weeks before pushing to leave, but the Times suggest he could pursue a loan abroad after the deadline as Chelsea would still be able to let players go to foreign clubs as the deadline for most European leagues is the end of August.

The Blues, however, would be unable to replace him after next week so it remains to be seen if they’d be keen on allowing him his move.

Still, Chelsea have a number of big names ahead of Loftus-Cheek in midfield at the moment and don’t have the best track record of handing opportunities to their youngsters.
