It was obvious last season that Real Madrid were just not at their best in both La Liga, and occasionally in the Champions League.
Los Blancos finished miles behind fierce rivals Barcelona in the race for the title in Spain, with the club also riding their luck a fair bit as their secured their third consecutive European Cup.
Following this, it was clear for all to see that the club needed reinforcements this summer, something that may have just become a little bit easier following this news.
As per Don Balon, Lazio and Serbia star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic wants to secure a summer switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, and that his signature is available for a total of €100M.
This news will be great for Real, as it may give their chances of signing the midfielder a little boost given the fact that he himself wants to move to the club.
Milinkovic-Savic was one of the stars of Serie A last season, with his performances for Lazio surely catching the attentions of a number of Europe’s top clubs.
The Serbian international, who starred for his country at the World Cup in Russia this summer, played superbly for Lazio last year, as he managed to clock up a total of 14 goals and eight assists in all competitions.
A lot of these goals and assists came in the league, as Milinkovic-Savic helped the club secure a fifth-placed finish in Serie A, narrowly missing out on Champions League football to Inter Milan.
If the Serb does in fact wish to secure a move to Real, surely it’s only a matter of time before we see the Spanish giants make their move for one of the world’s brightest midfield talents.
