Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that he has no issues with his squad despite speculation of problems with his players.
The Red Devils endured a frustrating campaign last year, as they finished 19 points adrift of rivals and Premier League champions Man City, while ending the year trophy-less.

That also included a defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup final, and particularly considering the way in which Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and even City have strengthened this summer, it has raised question marks over whether or not Man Utd have done enough.
Mourinho has seen Lee Grant, Diogo Dalot and Fred move to Old Trafford, and while that trio all have a purpose and offer quality and depth, there was an absence of star talent.
Nevertheless, the Portuguese tactician has insisted that he’s happy with the players at his disposal and has insisted that ultimately, results on the pitch will answer their critics and those who question his relationship with them.
“I have my players, I like my players, I like to work with my players,” he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports. “When you repeat 1,000 times that my relationship with my players is not good, it’s a lie that repeated 1,000 times is still a lie.
“Let’s play football and by the end of November or December, you don’t need words. You will see which teams are candidates.”
Alexis Sanchez has now had six months to settle in Manchester and will potentially be ready to make a bigger impact this season, while key figures such as Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba will be expected to kick on and reach the next level.
In turn, there is still room for improvement in this Man Utd squad regardless of the transfer activity at Old Trafford, but it remains to be seen whether or not it’s enough to take major strides compared to last season and ensure that they compete on multiple fronts.
