Liverpool’s new summer signings Naby Keita and Alisson have been selected to start for the Reds against West Ham this afternoon, with Jurgen Klopp handing Premier League debuts to the duo.
Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri have been selected to start on the bench for the home side, with all of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah picked to lead the line for Liverpool this afternoon.
Liverpool are starting the match with a someone weakened back-line, as Joe Gomez has been elected to start alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the heart of the home side’s defence.
James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum are starting alongside Keita in midfield, something that may be somewhat surprising given the fact that Jordan Henderson, who’s on the bench, is club captain.
West Ham fans won’t be happy to see Salah, Firmino and Mane starting up top today for the home side, as the trio absolutely tore the Hammers a new one last season both home and away.
Here’s the full Liverpool line-up for their match today. It’s easily one of the strongest squads the Premier League has to offer in our view.
