Florian Wirtz shines for Germany vs Serbia
In a masterclass performance, Wirtz pulled the strings throughout the match as Germany secured their first victory under Klopp.
Wirtz sparked the opener in the 39th minute when his strike struck the post, allowing Tom Bischof to convert the rebound.
The 23-year-old playmaker then capped off a stellar night in the 61st minute with a moment of individual brilliance.
Receiving a pass from Maximilian Mittelstädt inside the area, Wirtz produced a sharp drag-back to evade his marker before rifling a sublime finish into the net.
Alongside his goal and assist contribution, Wirtz created a match-high six chances and recorded eight touches in the opposition box, prompting high praise from Klopp: “The way we want to play suits Wirtz. I think everyone in Liverpool is very happy today.”

Wirtz needs to replicate same for Liverpool
While Wirtz flourished in Klopp’s fluid attacking setup for Germany, Liverpool supporters will be eager to see him replicate this world-class form at Anfield.
The playmaker has endured a testing adjustment period in the Premier League following his high-profile summer move.
His form has resulted in speculations of an early end to his Liverpool tenure with Bayern Munich among clubs linked with a move.
However, with his swagger and confidence fully restored on the international stage, Wirtz has demonstrated the game-changing quality that made him one of Europe’s most coveted talents.
If he can carry this momentum back to Merseyside, Liverpool will possess a potent offensive catalyst capable of unlocking the tightest defenses in domestic and European competition.
