Barcelona have reportedly drawn up a shortlist of four players who could replace key star Luis Suarez next season.
This is according to Diario Gol, who note that the club will look to get rid of the former Liverpool ace should he fail to rediscover his form in front of goal, and that they’ve made a list of replacements for the Uruguayan.
The report also states that this four-man shortlist consists of: Harry Kane, Timo Werner, Mohamed Salah and Hirving Lozano, all players who would be more than capable of replacing Suarez in Barca’s starting line-up.
Kane’s ability is unparalleled, with the Englishman’s goalscoring record these past few seasons proving that he’s one of the most able strikers on the planet.
The same can be said for Mohamed Salah, who scored 44 goals in all competitions last season, as he played a huge part in the Reds run to the Champions League final.
Timo Werner would be a great signing to replace Suarez, as the German international has shown during his time with RB Leipzig that he has the ability and potential to be one of the best strikers around in the future.
Hirving Lozano really burst onto the scene for PSV last year, with the Mexican international clocking up 17 goals and 11 assists in 29 league outings. The winger’s performances really established his reputation as one of the future for the Dutch giants last season.
Should Barca end up replacing Suarez, we’re sure their fans wouldn’t be sad to see any of these players join the club next summer, as they all have the ability in their lockers to be a formidable replacement for the Uruguayan.
