Gerard Pique has effectively all but ruled out a return to the Premier League from Spanish giants Barcelona in the near future.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the former Man United star was asked about if he was ever play in England again, with the Spaniard stating “I don’t think so. I’m very happy here. It’s my home, with my family and friends, and playing for the club I always dreamed to play, and I hope to win more titles here.”

This news may come as a bit of a blow for United fans, who would’ve surely loved to see the World Cup winner return to Old Trafford considering he’s one of the best defenders in the world.

Pique has all but confirmed he won’t be returning to the Premier League any time soon

During his time at United, Pique never really got the chance to impress fans and management alike, something we’re sure the club regret doing now looking back at the defender’s illustrious career.

Pique only managed to play 23 first team games during his stint with the Red Devils before moving to Barcelona in 2008.

Since then, the 31-year-old has made 449 appearances for the Blaugrana, and has helped the win numerous La Liga, Champions League and Copa Del Rey titles during that time.

Pique would definitely suit playing the Premier League given his physical presence and ability on the ball, however that now seems like nothing but a dream given the player’s recent words.
