Man Utd goalkeeper David de Gea has looked to rally the troops after the defeat to Tottenham with the club in desperate need of a morale boost.

The Red Devils have now fallen to back-to-back defeats in the Premier League, handing them a nightmare start to the campaign that they desperately wanted to avoid.

That leaves them in 13th place in the standings, as they’ve already fallen off the pace set by title rivals Man City and Liverpool, albeit the season has only just begun.

Nevertheless, for a club of their stature and history, losing games isn’t in their DNA, and so with a trip to Burnley ahead on Sunday evening, De Gea has moved to issue a rallying cry to ensure that the players, club and supporters all stick together to help get them out of this sticky situation, as seen in his Twitter post below.

However, while many fans echoed the Spaniard’s point in the comments, others were more concerned about his contract status as they urged him to put pen to paper on a deal with Man Utd.

As per the Metro, there are concerns over the 27-year-old currently as he is said to be some way off of an agreement, and so naturally given his importance to the team, it will be an ongoing concern until he officially commits his future.

it remains to be seen when that will be, but for now all United fans can hope for is that results pick up and they start moving in the right direction in order to help convince their star men that they should stay at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future.
