Liverpool star Sadio Mane has joked about who’s quicker between him and Mohamed Salah, but claims over longer distances, it’s definitely him.
The pair have showcased just how quick they are on countless occasions, both alongside each other as teammates and separately as they are undoubtedly are a feared duo on the wings.
As seen in the video below, they have combined brilliantly for counter-attacking goals while both playing for Liverpool, and it has certainly been difficult to tell who is actually quicker as both have searing pace.
Jurgen Klopp won’t care much about the statistics behind it as long as the duo continue to fire Liverpool towards their objectives, but Mane has given his answer on the matter in an interview with Marca.
“Yes, of course, I’m faster. Maybe not in short distances, but in 100 or 200 meters I win for sure,” Mane is quoted as telling Marca, while it’s added that he couldn’t help but laugh while giving his answer.
In turn, it’s unclear as to whether he was merely winding his teammate up or if he genuinely is the quicker of the two over longer distances, but as long as they continue to link up with devastating results such as those seen below, Liverpool fans will just want to enjoy their influence moving forward.
The Reds have started the season well with three wins in three Premier League games, scoring seven goals and conceding none with Salah helping himself to two goals and two assists, while Mane has three goals in as many outings to show again how effective they are for Liverpool.
