AC Milan left it late but they secured a 2-1 win over Roma in thrilling fashion with Patrick Cutrone scoring in injury time to seal all three points.
Franck Kessie had given the hosts the lead at the San Siro in the first half, only to see Federico Fazio blast home an equaliser after the break.
Following on from their collapse against Napoli last weekend, it would have undoubtedly raised fears and nerves for Gennaro Gattuso and his players that they could be set for another shaky end to the game.
However, after VAR disallowed goals for Gonzalo Higuain and Steven N’Zonzi, it set up a thrilling finish as Milan conjured up one more chance in injury time with Higuain producing a brilliant assist to set Cutrone through and the youngster made no mistake, as seen in the video below.
The Argentine international arrived at Milan from Juventus this summer, and aside from his decisive pass late on, his presence throughout the game gave the Rossoneri real quality up top as he looks set to relish his role this year.
For Gattuso though, he’ll merely be delighted that his side bounced back after the crushing blow of squandering their lead at Napoli as they got three points on the board in dramatic fashion.
These are either the best goals or the worst goals, depending on which end of it you are on. @acmilan surely grab it at the death, with Patrick Cutrone scoring. Supersub? #MILROM #PUREFOOTBALL #SerieA pic.twitter.com/1jN6PbaW0C
