Ahead of his expected departure this summer, Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey will reportedly earn over £400,000-a-week at Juventus.

As noted by BBC Sport, and in journalist David Ornstein’s tweet below, the Welshman has penned a pre-contract agreement with the Turin giants.

It comes as his current Gunners contract expires at the end of the season, at which point he will seemingly leave the Emirates on a free transfer.

However, Ornstein has now provided further details on the contract from the reigning Serie A champions, and he claims that Ramsey will earn just over £400,000-a-week in Turin, which will make him the all-time highest-paid British player.

While the opportunity to win major honours alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Giorgio Chiellini will undoubtedly have been a major part of the decision to move to Italy, it’s clear from this update that the financial aspects of the deal would certainly have appealed to Ramsey too.

Nevertheless, he has continued to play a key role for Arsenal this season despite the speculation over his future, as he now prepares to end an 11-year stint with the north London outfit.

As for Juve, they’ll hope that despite not having to pay a transfer fee, that the investment that they’re reportedly making in Ramsey is repaid on the pitch, as the Welshman will likely have a fundamental role to play in ensuring that they maintain their level of success in the coming years.

With Blaise Matuidi and Sami Khedira not getting any younger, Ramsey will have a big part to play in their midfield, with the report above suggesting that it’s a done deal with an official announcement from the clubs all that is missing.
