Manchester United have reportedly offered a contract to Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot in a bid to beat their rivals to his signature.
The France international has also been linked strongly as a target for the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal recently due to him closing in on being a free agent this summer.
Rabiot could be an ideal signing for Man Utd due to their current needs in midfield, with Marouane Fellaini leaving in January and summer signing Fred struggling since his move from Shakhtar Donetsk.
According to Don Balon, United have offered Rabiot a contract after talks, seemingly stepping up their efforts ahead of their Premier League rivals.
However, for the moment it seems the 23-year-old is not keen on the offer the Red Devils have made.
As things stand, a move to Real Madrid perhaps seems most likely, though it’s also been reported that he’s a long-time Liverpool fan.
Los Blancos reportedly see Rabiot as a cheap alternative to other midfield targets like Paul Pogba and Christian Eriksen.
Rabiot would be free this summer but is rated as highly as €50m by Transfermarkt.
