There was a period of time where every Liverpool star appeared to have a healthy amount of hair on their upper lip, but it’s largely disappeared from society in recent years.

Liverpool goalkeeper Allison appears to be launching an attempt to bring it back, and it led to some interesting comparisons with Ian Rush during the week.

Interestingly the tache was highlighted again by Liverpool on Instagram before the game today, and Ian Rush himself has given it his seal of approval:
