At one point in the season it did look like this could’ve been an incredible game where survival would be on the line, but Newcastle went on a solid run of form and they haven’t had to worry for weeks.
One of the key reasons for that has been the form of Joe Willock, and he’s now scored for his seventh consecutive game after this strike this afternoon:
Of course there’s a big slice of luck at the end with the way that the ball lands for him, but he deserves it for trying to make things happen and the finish was never in doubt.
