Gabby Agbonlahor thinks that Unai Emery should push to sign Leicester winger this summer

Gabby Agbonlahor is of the opinion that Aston Villa should sign Harvey Barnes this summer with Leicester City having been relegated from the Premier League.

Despite Leicester beating West Ham 2-1 yesterday at the King Power Stadium yesterday, Everton’s 1-0 win over Bournemouth meant that they stayed up at the Foxes’ expense, ending the East Midlands side’s nine-year stay in the top flight and as a result, the club will likely see an exodus of players this summer.

Barnes could be one of those players, which would see him leave Leicester after seven years, 186 appearances and 44 goals.

With an FA Cup and Community Shield to his name as well, the winger can be proud of his achievements at the club if he is to leave this summer with the club now set for a rebuild as they aim to get back to the Premier League as soon as possible.

Despite Barnes scoring yesterday against West Ham, other results failed to go Leicester’s way in their battle for survival

Speaking on Talksport yesterday evening, former Villa striker Agbonlahor revealed his desperation for his former side to bring Barnes in this offseason.

There’s going to be an exodus of players. Maddison is going to go – Leicester would’ve expected. Harvey Barnes – I want Aston Villa to go and get him now for a cut fee.

We’ll give you £25-£30 million, thank you very much!”

With Villa having qualified for the Europa Conference League having finished 7th this season, they could become a very enticing prospect for many players this summer so Agbonlahor will hope that Barnes makes the right choice this summer.
