The Crystal Palace manager has revealed that two of his players will be out for the rest of the season after suffering injuries.
Like many other Premier League clubs this season, the Eagles have been ravaged with injuries with players like Eberechi Eze missing a majority of games.
But with a lot of other clubs able to maintain some kind of consistency through these difficult periods, Crystal Palace have struggled to keep their heads above water.
Their shock win against Liverpool at Anfield last week means they currently sit 15th in the Premier League table and just eight points clear of the relegation zone.
With just six games left to play, the London club won’t be worried about dropping into the bottom three, barring some sort of disaster, but will be hoping to climb back into the middle of the pack.
Crystal Palace stars to miss the rest of the season
However, they will have to do that without two key players as Glasner confirmed that both Cheick Doucoure and Matheus Franca will be out for the remainder of the season.
“He (Franca) won’t return this season. He had surgery, so he will be out for the rest of the season.” He said via We Are Palace.
“For all of us, if you have to go to hospital and undergo surgery, it’s always the worst part of life. Then you have health problems, it’s the worst thing you can have.”
