Darwin Nunez has been linked with a move away from Liverpool in recent months, and it appears that Al-Hilal have made contact with the Premier League champions regarding a move.
The 25-year-old has not been able to live up to the expectations since joining Liverpool, and his end product has been quite mediocre. The striker scored seven goals in all competitions last season, and Liverpool need to replace them in the summer.
They need a reliable centre forward if they want to win major trophies. Naturally, there has been speculation surrounding the future of the Uruguayan international. It remains to be seen whether he is ready to move to the Saudi Pro League this summer.
Al-Hilal keen on Liverpool ace
Al-Hilal are interested in him, and Ben Jacobs has confirmed that they have been in touch with Michael Edwards regarding a potential move. It will be interesting to see if they come forward with an offer to sign the player.
Suggestions Michael Edwards has agreed to join Al-Hilal are wide of the mark. Al-Hilal made outreach a few weeks ago, having held a strong interest in Edwards at the time, but there was no formal meeting or offer. Instead, Edwards rebuffed the approach.

Darwin Nunez needs to move on

Liverpool paid a premium for him when they signed him from Benfica, and they would have expected him to develop into a world-class player. Things are clearly not going according to plan for the player in the Premier League, and he struggled for regular game time last season.
The 25-year-old will look to get his career back on track with regular football, and moving away from Liverpool could be ideal for him. He has been linked with a move to Italy and Spain as well. It remains to be seen where he ends up.
He has the qualities to develop into a top player. Perhaps a fresh start could bring out the best in him. He has been described as ‘unbelievable’ recently.

LFC did not have the ability to train Nunez. Instead of seriously approaching to rectify his game they simply took the easy way and dumped him to being second/third option or last man on the bench.
When he moves to a team that appreciates his talents he will assuredly blossom.
Spot on. The thing is that the entire transfer model is based on that very concept. buy them young and convert them into top talent. to be honest, it’s not hard to fix his problem. He needs to spend time doing hours of technical training, finishing and passing. that’s all. Then he’ll be world class. but they haven’t done anything to improve him. He’s not just going to wake up one morning and suddenly be a top talent. Nor is he just going to naturally acquire it. technical skills are honed privately on the training pitch. They’ve wasted their own money by neglecting easy training. It doesn’t help that he doesn’t decide to do it on his own either but it’s the club’s money they’ve invested, they should close the circle and ensure that their investment and strategy is successful.
And you know this how exactly, most good strikers have it as a knack, they know where to be and always where the goal is eg Robbie Fowler, John Aldridge, Fernado Torres to name but a few, Salah puts the effort in on the training pitch which is what Keegan did before him; you can’t force players to do this if they want to be the best they put the training hours in. As much as I like Nunez for his workrate, he just hasn’t got the desire to improve. I’m sure the training staff have done all they can to help him improve but once he’s on the pitch it’s up to him. We should sell him and get someone who’s prepared to go that extra mile.
