Lyon striker Fred still unable to sort out his future

Olympique Lyon striker Fred has made it all clear that he doesn’t want to serve the Stade de Gerland anymore but which club will he serve then? That issue is expected to be solved by the middle of this week, if Sky Sports is to be believed.

Sky Sports believes that the Brazilian striker will sign for a new club this week. It quotes the player telling L’Equipe:

There will be some meetings this week with my brother (and agent). I believe we will sort it out before Wednesday. I have received propositions from just two clubs so far, Paris and Tottenham. Lyon have talked to other clubs, but I have not as yet. PSG made me the first proposition and I refused it. It was then exactly the same with Tottenham. If we can’t reach an agreement I will stay at Lyon. That is not a problem.

At the heart of this particular transfer saga is money. Fred would go to a club that would pay him as much as he wants and also guarantee him that he gets to play regular football. Sounds like eating the cake and keeping it too?
