Barcelona and Cameroon striker and all round footballing superstar Samiel Eto’o has today let the cat out of the bag and admitted that Mourinho conducted hush-hush secret meetings with him. In fact, Eto’o came so close to signing for Chelsea that he couldn’t help fantasizing about the glorious Music he would have made with Didier Drogba. Eto’o said:
“I don’t see why both of us can’t play for the same side, just imagine what a team containing Didier and me would be like.
“I came to London to meet Mourinho in a hotel. We had a good, long discussion but we did not manage to reach an agreement.
“There are sometimes things that you can’t explain too much. It was a while ago. But Didier was aware of everything that went on.”
Ouch, that was a close one! Then again, Droggers and Eto’o could finally fulfill their dreams of a goal poaching partnership at Barca next summer…
