Throw out the names Hicks, Gillett or Ashley to a Liverpool or Newcastle supporter and chances are pretty good you’ll see the face turn a bright shade of purple before they go off on an explicative laced rant about how douchetastic the current ownership is.
Whilst both are bad, we want YOU to tell us which one takes the cake. Pick a side and let’s have a bit of fun here! I’m sure Liverpool and Newcastle supporters have their own reasoning behind why each owner is the worst of them all.

this is a hard one i dont realy think i or any other newcastle fan can decide this one same goes for liverpool fans though if some one makes some points i will comment on them

At least you know your owners going. We’re stuck hoping that the rumours circling Anfield are not just rumours. However at least H and G did something right in keeping our manager. Truely thought that KK could of done a great job with Newcastle given a little extra cash and a whole load of time. We’ve given our manager almost half a decade and we’ve been getting better each year. Who can really argue that the best things that any manager can have is a) an owner who trusts and backs them and b) gives them a nice long time to make the team their own.

Gillet and Hicks has cause to much uncertainty at anfield. I am so sick of their bull***ts. I understand the business side of the club. But why cant these two just let the football play. it would be better if they sell the club and F**k off. Let the new owner who wants to invest and turn to a great loyalty club.What the fuck is wrong with Mike Ashley? Wearing Newcastle jersey and selling the club! That is F**king evil. Gillet, Hicks and Ashley need some serious time of their lieves. Oh ! I get it. Its just business. Its just money making machines. Three of you better get the f**k out of the football scence. i am glad to see liverpol are putting up a good fight for the title as they are my 2nd team
but on the owners what realy upset me about ashley is the lack of communication and lies there were messages on the official web site from wise that he was thier only to RECOMMEND players to kk that was clearly lies

Ashely is definitely a cancer but Hicks and Gillett are worse because at least Ashley was bright enough to get the message from the fans whereas Hicks and Gillett have allowed greed to turn them pathologically stupid. A couple of loathsome imbeciles of the highest order

Ashley thought he was a rich man but soon realised he was nowhere near rich enough. Gillett is the same, he wants out. Hicks is a stubborn Texan who knows there is a lot of money to be made, but will not part with his own cash to make it. They all need to get out of English football. Listen to the fans, they know what they are talking about.

Hicks patronises all Liverpool fans and talks about how Liverpool will fund the Texas rangers. He is, I believe, the worst thing to ever happen to the club…possibly to English football. I’m holding back from sayinig everything that is wrong about him cos it’ll take up the whole website!
PS - 9 months ago he said he was going to extend Rafa’s contract immediately. He has not done so and there are only 18 months left. That is a very short time for a manager. Real Madrid are probably already planning their move.

The Thing is right why should any of them be it i’m a Liverpool fan and i look at the Ashley situation and i can’t think why he has been victimised like he has, he han’t done out wrond, it started by him getting rid of Keegan well he w**k he dosen’t know what a football is, alright i dont like Gillet but I don’t Like Hicks really but if you think about ots the Media they make so much s*hi* up, give them chance,the’ll probs selll anyway cause of the credit crunch

I know that’s what he said but the very thought that he would consider taking Liverpool profits to fund anything else is terrifying for such a big club that is fast falling miles and miles behind other English clubs in financial terms. Imagine we sell Torres for £100m this January to Man City - that Hicks quote would make me believe that at least some of that would go to some hockey team! Unimaginable!
The thing that really scared me about that Hicks clip is when he talks about Pool fans, saying “God bless ‘em, they’re into it”. He doesn’t understand the passion of these people who live for the club. And he has no interest in gaining an understanding. Ashley left as soon as he was told to and he knew that Newcsatle fans wanted Keegan so he gave them Keegan. Meanwhile Hicks interviews Klinsmann to replace the most popular and successful Liverpool manager in decades! Terrifying.

I don’t mean to get petty but Hicks was at the interview with Klinsmann, and he was the one who initiated it…IT WAS AT HIS HOUSE in California.
