Arsenal’s Walcott says he’s looking forward to facing former Southampton team-mate: Will he make Tottenham’s Bale look silly?
by offsidetrap on October 29th, 2008 157 words | 4 commentsArsenal winger Theo Walcott gets the chance to go up against former team-mate Gareth Bale when the two players take the pitch tonight in the local derby.
The pair were together at Southampton and both will surely be looking to get the best of the other in what is usually a hotly-contested match.
I get messages from Gareth all the time and I’m looking forward to it. Hopefully, deep down, he isn’t looking forward to it. I’ve never played against him. It will be a big challenge – he’s one of the best left-backs and he could play left wing as well. (Telegraph)
Bale, who returns from suspension for the match, will have one hell of a time marking the shifty winger all night. Both are unquestionably two of the biggest names in the league, as well as being a couple of the league’s brightest stars.
Are you taking Walcott or Bale to make the most of their matchup?

that’s a bit harsh i must say, i think it’ll be quite interesting, bale isn’t the best defensively, but he’ll certainly test walcott’s ability to come back and support his full back as gareth loves a jaunt upfield, oh and bale comes back from his suspension for the match evertonian guy,

walcott beats bale in every department…. speed, technique, skill, pace, acceleration, passing, shooting u name it….. n the fact bale loves to jet forward will only leave him exposed to walcott wen arsenal break.
walcott will be laughing………..walcott will almost certainly score tonight.
