Man United reportedly had scouts in attendance as FC Porto thrashed Vitoria Guimares on the weekend according to Tribalfootball.

With long term Old Trafford target James Rodriguez out with injury representatives of the Premier League side watched on as powerful Colombian forward Jackson Martinez struck a hat-trick, scouting parties from QPR and Everton were also at the Estadio da Luz monitoring proposed targets.

The 26 year old moved to join the Portuguese champions in the summer, seen as a long term replacement for Hulk, and has scored a mammoth 18 goals in 17 Primeira Liga appearances to help his side to edge Benfica to the top of the table.

Martinez has also scored three goals in Champions League action this season and could perhaps be seen as a replacement for Javier Hernandez, with the Mexican being linked with a Man United departure this summer.
