Young striker keeping options open until the end of the season.
The agent of Manchester United striker Federico Macheda has played down the possibility of the young striker joining Lazio according to talkSport.
Reports in recent weeks had suggested that the player would be open to a return to Lazio, from whom he joined Manchester United in 2007.
The player announced himself in the Premier League with a spectacular strike against Aston Villa in 2009 but has failed to establish himself in the Old Trafford starting eleven.
Macheda currently finds himself behind the likes of Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Chicharito Hernandez in the Old Trafford pecking order and that persuaded the 21-year old Italian to join Stuttgart on a season long loan deal.
The player is enjoying his time in Germany and has not ruled out the possibility of a permanent move come the summer.
Responding to speculation on a move to Lazio, the player’s agent Giovanni Bia said, ‘For the moment, there is not that possibility. He is fine in Germany, the club are very pleased.
‘Lazio is the club where he grew up and they would like him to come home, but it all depends on Stuttgart, who have the option to buy him at the end of the season.’
