The Daily Express claims that Arsenal will face competition from Juventus and Roma for Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic.

The Montenegro forward is in high demand after some impressive displays in Serie A, and has also previously been linked with Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Manchester City.

However, Italian champions Juventus have stepped up their interest in adding to their strike force next season as they look to win a third consecutive title and progress further in the Champions League.

Antonio Conte’s side may lose another Montenegro forward Mirko Vucinic to Manchester United and will need a replacement. They have also been linked with Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko.

Arsenal will hope to land their man as they want extra options upfront, having lost Robin van Persie last summer. Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski were brought in as replacements but have had mixed campaigns, and the Gunners lack depth in that position.

The Gunners were rumoured to have opened talks with Fiorentina over a £21million move for Jovetic, but Juventus are said to be willing to offer more, and Arsene Wenger will be keen as ever not to over-spend in the transfer market.

Roma are also keen on Jovetic as they face the possibility of losing striker Pablo Osvaldo to Tottenham.
