French ace denies allegations of dressing room split.

Check in to QPR vs Newcastle United

Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has insisted that there is no divisions within the squad and that all players are fighting together to keep above the relegation zone, according to The Metro.

Rumours have been rife recently of a split in the dressing room with accusations of several squad members not trying hard enough to keep the club out of trouble and last week the club even took the drastic step of banning any reporters from The Telegraph from attending St James’ Park.

The club’s current form seems to lend itself to those rumours, though midfield maestro Yohan Cabaye has insisted that the players are all focussed on the job in hand.

“In the dressing room, everything is okay,” he said following the weekend’s 0-0 draw at West Ham. ‘The French players all want to adapt well. We are all focused together.”

“We wanted to show we are together. We have stayed focused on being safe and playing in the Premier League next season. ‘That is the most important thing. We know we are going to play well if we are focused together and stay together.”

Newcastle are currently sat in 17th, just three points ahead of Wigan in the drop zone as they head into their final two games against QPR and Arsenal.
