Austrian international keen on Premier League.

Check in to FA Cup Final: Manchester City vs Wigan Athletic

FC Basel defender Aleksandar Dragovic has hinted that he could be in line for a move to the Premier League this summer after chewing the ear of Austrian teammate Andreas Weimann about life in England, Sky Sports reports.

The 22-year-old has firmly put himself in the shop window after impressive performances against Spurs and Chelsea in the latter stages of the Europa League this season with Everton, Arsenal, Southampton and Sunderland all lining up to take a closer look at him this summer.

And he has revealed that a move to the Premier League is appealing after seeking the council of Aston Villa striker Andreas Weimann whenever the pair link up together on international duty.

“I regular speak to Andreas, who has told me a lot about how much he enjoys playing in England,” he said.

“Its competition at the highest level, which is what I’m looking for.”

“The fans are fantastic, and the clubs command a lot of respect around the world.”

FA Basel are aware of the interest in the young centre back but have insisted that any interested clubs will have to cough up a considerable amount of cash if they hope to take him away from the club.
