The Daily Mirror reports that big-spending Galatasaray are still keen on signing John Terry from Chelsea this summer.

The Blues skipper would join former team-mate Didier Drogba in Turkey, and could be followed up by the signing of Dimitar Berbatov from fellow Premier League club Fulham.

Terry’s future has come under much speculation following a difficult season at Stamford Bridge, with the 32-year-old finding himself spending a great deal of time on the bench under interim manager Rafael Benitez.

Although Benitez is unlikely to remain at the club beyond the end of the season, Terry is said to feel undervalued by the Blues hierarchy and wants a new challenge.

Despite Terry’s legendary status at the club, Chelsea are well equipped to deal with his departure, as they have the likes of Gary Cahill, David Luiz and Branislav Ivanovic as options in the centre of defence.

It could be the end of an era at the West London club, with fellow Chelsea legend Frank Lampard also likely to depart. The 34-year-old midfielder is not being offered a new contract by owner Roman Abramovich and is considering a bosman move to Monaco or LA Galaxy.

It has also been suggested that Jose Mourinho’s possible return to the club as manager could have a major say on whether Terry and Lampard remain at Stamford Bridge.
