Chelsea will take advantage of Borussia Dortmund’s interest in their young attacker Kevin De Bruyne, and look to push through a swap deal that would see Robert Lewandowski move to Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Express.

The Blues have been chasing the Polish striker for the last month or so as they look to replace £50million flop Fernando Torres this summer, but the 24-year-old has favoured a move to Dortmund’s Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.

However, a deal is yet to be completed, and Dortmund would be keen to sell their star player abroad, after losing another one of their big names, Mario Goetze, to Bayern last month.

The loss of Goetze has sparked Jurgen Klopp’s side’s interest in Belgian attacking midfielder De Bruyne, who has impressed on loan from Chelsea at Bundesliga side Werder Bremen this season.

Chelsea will now hope that the offer of cash as well as their player in return could see Lewandowski become their first major signing of the summer.

The Blues had also been tracking Bayer Leverkusen winger Andre Schurrle, though talks seem to have stalled between the two clubs, but they will be more than happy with the capture of Lewandowski if it goes through.
