Arsenal academy player Isaac Hayden is hoping to secure a loan move away from the Emirates next season to gain some first team experience, talkSPORT reports.

The 18-year-old has apparently been inspired by the rise in stock of Nathaniel Chalobah who has enjoyed a fine season with Watford who he joined on loan from Chelsea last summer and hopes to emulate his counterpart by following suit.

The defender has impressed with Arsenal’s development squad this season and has spoke of his desire to spend some time away from the club in order to see his own progression take a leap forward.

“I’d be comfortable with that,” he said.

“Even Nathaniel Chalobah, who’s been brilliant on loan at Watford from Chelsea, is only a little bit older than me.”

“It really opens your eyes to what can be achieved if you go out on loan.”

“I’ve seen how other guys have done – like Chuks Aneke, who’s had a fantastic season at Crewe, and Benik Afobe, who had made it into the England Under-21 squad before his injury.”

So far there have been no concrete links to another club, but he is likely to win praise for wanting to take the step out on loan and will most certainly command a closer look from a Championship side looking to add some defensive reenforcement to the ranks without breaking the bank.
