Chelsea target Marco Van Ginkel has refused to talk about a possible move to UEFA Cup winners Chelsea according to Sky Sports.

The Dutchman wants to concentrate on playing for the Dutch under 21’s at the European Championships in Israel and will sort out his club future after the tournament has finished.

However, he did say that it was his ambition to play in the Premier League.

The Vitesse Arnhem star has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea as Jose Mourinho’s first signing at the club.

Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars recently gave up on the prospect of signing Van Ginkel because his club couldn’t compete with the financial power of Chelsea.

Reports in Holland claim that Van Ginkel has agreed terms with Chelsea but the player refused to discuss his club future.

“I know what people want to hear, but I’m not going to say anything about that now”, said Van Ginkel.

“I have to focus on this tournament. After that, I will think about my future – not now.”

Van Ginkel has played a big role in helping the Dutch under 21’s reach the semi finals of the European Championships.

Signing Van Ginkel could be the start of s busy summer for Chelsea, who are linked with strikers Edinson Cavani and Hulk.
